Our Story

CORE Mechanical Solutions was established in May 2022, though its foundation was a long-held vision.

The owner, Chris Jacobi, began his HVAC journey in high school, and continued his training through the Plumbers & Steamfitters Local 486 apprenticeship. As soon as he was able, after obtaining his Journeyman license, he took the Master HVAC test and obtained his license with a dream to one day open a business of his own.

Throughout his career, Chris has been a trusted resource and mentor to his fellow union members, excelling in various roles, including construction, chiller services, project management, and estimating. He has always been respected for his genuine passion for the trade, his "always do the right thing" attitude, and his willingness to help others. 

Chris' ultimate goal has always been to turn his vision into a reality—creating a business built on CORE values, and establishing a brand he and his team can be proud of. Now, he's working to build a team of dedicated union workers who share his same passion and customer-focused work ethic, to service our growing customer base in Maryland, DC, and Virginia. ​
